On-Board Courier Service

An on-board courier accompanies your shipment on a scheduled passenger flight, as cabin or checked baggage, and hands it over personally at the destination.

What an on-board courier is, and when it makes sense

An on-board courier, or OBC, is a person who travels on a regular passenger flight with your shipment. Because passenger flights depart far more frequently than freighters, and because baggage clears airports much faster than cargo, hand carriage is usually the fastest option for small, urgent consignments.

It makes sense for shipments that fit into airline baggage allowances and whose delay costs real money: a stopped production line, an aircraft on ground, a missed contractual deadline. For shipments that are large, heavy or not truly urgent, conventional air freight is usually the better and cheaper choice, and we will tell you so.

What our service covers

Pickup

The courier collects the shipment at your address or receives it at an agreed handover point, documented with photos and a receipt.

Accompanied flight

Depending on size, weight and airline rules, your shipment travels in the cabin or as checked baggage, on the same flight as the courier.

Customs accompaniment

The courier carries your commercial documents and presents the shipment at export and import. Where formal clearance is required, it is handled by the responsible customs brokers on your side or arranged case by case.

Documented handover

Delivery to the named recipient, confirmed with a signature, name and timestamp. You receive the proof of delivery immediately.

Limits we are upfront about

Airline baggage rules set the practical frame: typically pieces up to about 30 kg each, within normal checked-baggage dimensions. Larger multi-piece shipments are possible on many routes, but always depend on the airline and the aircraft.

We do not carry dangerous goods. Temperature-controlled medical shipments are possible only after individual assessment. Transit times depend on flight schedules; we quote realistic times rather than best-case numbers, and we do not promise what a timetable cannot deliver.
